Why we produced the GRID TIE INVERTER WITH LIMITER ?

It is in response to the overwhelming clamor from our customers for a product that can control the amount of power that the grid tie inverters (GTI) can generate so that the amount of excess power produced by the solar panels are  reduced to insignificant levels, if not eliminated --- because in some countries, the producer pays for the excess power it gives to the distribution grid. This is because the electric power meters (the one provided by the electricity provider in the area) are not aware of the direction of power flow. In other words it only adds even if  power is exported to the grid, thus, the consumers will be charged for power even if it is given to the grid, and this is the problem

This is the 2nd generation grid tie inverter with limiter.

With the 2nd generation GTIL,we integrated the limit function inside the GTI-We call this internal limiter. In this way,No additional limiter module is needed, reduced customer’s cost, more easier for installation. But in case customer install inverter far away from the main circuit breaker,we also enable the 2nd GTIL work with stand-alone limiter,we call this-external limiter. For sure, the inverter can work under normal Grid tie-no limit mode, just set on the nice LCD and save your setting.

New upgraded firmware enable battery or solar limiter current and power model.

User can set the maximum output power of inverter , this can make the inverter work at cooler contition as user want and extend the lifespan of the inverter .
User can set kick in/off voltage of the inverter which can flexible using with battery bank depend on users mind and can prevent battery bank from over discharged .

Advantage of The Sunshine Grid Tie Power System

1. Advanced patented technology,  MPPT efficiency is higher.

2. High-quality imported components, more stable quality, lower failure rate. Significantly longer life, more than 10 years.

3. Each inverter need to pass twice testing (20 hours) before leaving factory.

4. Warranty: 1 years of free maintenance and replacement, lifetime technical support.

5. Low cost and easy installation .

6. Free combination.

7. Combination of SGPV does not interact.

8. Improving the efficiency of the entire solar power system.

9. Low power consumption

Package list:

●2000W inverter*1 (Standard)

●3M Limiter Sensor*1(Stanard)

●EU Plug*1

●WIFI Modem*1 (Optional)

Special tips:

Due to the different communication protocols of different manufacturers, we strongly recommend that users who purchase our G2 series inverter to purchase this WIFI. (we adopt Eybond’s protocols). Otherwise, communication between WIFI and INVERTER may not be established due to different protocols.

240V Limit function for US split phase AC grid
First connecting method for SUN-2000G2(Suggested)
The inverter should be connected to compensate 240V loads. Because the inverter will produce same value feed
current at L1 and L2, and 240V loads also consume same value current at L1 and L2, so with the limit function of
the inverter, the inverter will just produce power that is same as or less than 240V loads’ power, there will be no
extra countercurrent feeding to the AC grid.
So if the 240V loads were connected at separate lines and not mixed with 120V loads, you can connect the
inverter and clamp the limit sensor, please checkthe picture 1

Picture1    Connecting method for Compensating 240V loads’ power at individual live line
Second connecting method for SUN-2000G2(Suggested)
If 240V loads and 120V loads were connected on same live lines, but 240V loads were connected after 120V
loads, the best connecting method is clamping the limit sensor on the live line at the position after the 120V
loads and before 240V loads. The inverter can be connected at any position on the live lines, See picture 2.
Because the inverter will produce same value feed current at L1 and L2, and 240V loads also consume same value current at L1 and L2, so with the limit function of the inverter, the inverter will just produce power that is same asor less than 240V loads’ power, there will be no extra countercurrent feeding to the AC grid.

Important information:
After Having connected the inveter and limit sensor as one method listed above, If you want to use limit function,
you also need to do below configuration on LCD display, You should select “Limit Mode” and “Internal Limiter” as the following picture

Limit mode configuration

If the display shows as picture 9, this means the limit sensor is not connected well or there are no loads powered
on, you can check the limit sensor and switch on some loads. If there is no loads’ power, the inverter will not
produce power under limit model

If the display shows as picture 10, the AC grid power is negative, this means the clamping orientation of limit

sensor is wrong.
